Breeze
"Breeze" is a solo autobiographical-performative choreographic project that delicately explores minor gestural expressions emerging from the frustration of belonging to major social and geopolitical structures as a Hungarian queer man. Through careful attention to somatically informed storytelling, the piece aims to create a sensible artistic universe that resist Hungary's current geopolitical climate regarding the celebration of queer existence, while advocating for and affirming queer belonging, resilience, and love. The work investigates creative, critical, and political perspectives through medium of dance.
The project ambitiously aims to experiment with at least three fans, each carefully chosen and choreographically integrated, to symbolically represent—rather than merely illustrate—the multifaceted and uplifting essence of "freedom" through the carefully orchestrated interplay of wind patterns, atmospheric movements, and the dynamic turbulence of air. These elements serve as metaphorical vessels for expressing the complexity and beauty inherent in the queer uplifting existence.
"Breeze" has been invited to participate in PARL 2025: Performance Art Research Ljubljana in 22–31 August 2025.
